My First set of pencils were a set of Derwent Graphics and I have never really needed anything else, but recently took some expert advice to try the Tombow Mono100 and well, they speak for themselves. The quality of both pencils are outstanding, but much of this is down to person preference so just best to try and see what feels good and provides the finish you’re looking for. Rotring Tikky mechanical is great for fine details and is built to last. Pencil sharpener is a must obviously, but being able to use a craft knife to sharpen a flat edge is useful and always nice to have options (also, who doesn’t like using a knife to craft a point!). Staedtler Mars is a classic rubber that always does the job and a putty rubber is a must to help with fine edges.
